The first time we toured the council of Valdés, we did so for its renowned Cadavedo, Otur beach, Los Molinos beach, or Barayo, and we have visited its renowned restaurants such as La perla Negra, or El Chicote, in Puerto de Vega. But come on, any place is good if we get closer to the coast, although as we get to know Valdés in depth, we get more homesick when we return to the capital. This area of the Asturian coast, sometimes not as renowned as the east, is a true natural asset and the great hope of this country to continue to be green, to continue to be a lung and to attest that the future is in the North, and the future is now.

The council of Valdés is always accompanied by the proper name of Luarca, the capital town of the council and the main agglutinator of the population and economic activity of both the parish and the council itself. Its parish church is dedicated to Santa Eulalia. The two main economic lines are fishing and agriculture. It is a town on the Camino de Santiago and has a pilgrims’ hostel, located in Almuña, about two kilometres from the town of Luarca. Among the most visited places are the lighthouse and the palace of the Marquis of Ferrera. And you have to know that August 22 is the festival of San Timoteo, one of the best known in the entire Principality, so it will not be an excuse to say that you have not been warned.

From Luarca we arrived in just a few minutes to the parish of Trevías, wanting to no longer enter all the accesses and highways and connections that pass through the council, or not to mention its proximity to the airport and this type of values. When talking about Trevías, it should be noted that its geography is determined by the passage of the Esva River, which crosses the main town of the parish, which has become the commercial and service centre of the parish, and there is the medical centre, the nursery school, the veterinary surgeon, pharmacy, notary, etc...

From Trevías we go up by road to the hamlet of San Feliz, where its name already becomes a declaration of intent. The farm we are going to talk about may be one of the most exclusive of our entire tour, and only we can access it by a short gravel road that only we and no one else need to access. First clue to the privacy and uniqueness of this amazing place.

The Carmina estate welcomes us behind its stone walls and a large gate with a beautiful roof, and behind its doors, the magic begins. Its extension of 11,000 m2 is to say little. Because its entire extension is perfectly worked in numerous gardens, some wooded, others full of hydrangeas, well-worked paths to enjoy endless walks, shaded areas and solarium areas... I think that going into words will not help me to give a moderately accurate idea of what is described here.

The way in which they have worked on the farm is commendable, but it can still be improved if I describe all the constructions. In total we have about 360 m2 built, divided into a large main stone house, connected to a second house through an interior corridor from the ground floor, and a renovated bread basket with three floors as I have rarely been able to see. Sorry if I use the first person too much, but this time is the ideal one for a more immersive experience.

The main building, on the ground floor, has a living room with an open plan kitchen with a beautiful and spacious island, with exits to the porch in front and behind, with two separate dining and rest areas, and a complete bathroom. All properly equipped and furnished with good taste and top quality materials. Light enters from every corner, and its owners have also had the wisdom to create a light staircase that gives an even greater feeling of space.

Here we go up to the ground floor, where we have 3 bedrooms, one of them en suite with bathroom and large dressing room, and another full bathroom. And in the background, as we have already mentioned, the corridor that leads to the second of the constructions. This, in turn, is distributed as a duplex flat, as it has an en-suite bedroom with bathroom upstairs, and a fully equipped living room and kitchen downstairs. We highlight here its large window, and its decoration and taste in every detail. The touch of the fireplace in the living room is a true tribute to comfort in the home. Relax and enjoy every stay.

Now we are talking about the 120 m2 of the bread basket, on the ground floor of which we have a complete office with large wardrobes, a desk and everything you need to even change its layout or its main use. The middle and upper floors have two more apartments, which are worth seeing live and direct to be aware of the full potential of this incomparable place.
