Mijas is one of the largest towns in the province of Malaga, consisting of 3 different districts: Mijas Pueblo, Mijas Costa and Mijas la Cala. The most popular, attracting numerous tourists and fans of Andalusian white villages, are Mijas Pueblo.

It is a picturesque town located several kilometers from the coast, on the side of the well-known town of Fuengirola. The nearest metropolis is Malaga, approximately 35 km away. It is a similar distance from the city of Marbella. Mijas is about half an hour by car from Malaga airport.
