The Mar Menor salt lagoon is home to many coastal villages, former fruitful fishing areas that have now been transformed into summer tourist resorts. One such coastal village of the Mar Menor is Los Nietos.
It is part of the Rincón de San Ginés district and is easily accessible from the highway leading to La Manga del Mar Menor. It is well signposted, so there is no chance of getting lost. It can also be reached by the national road that runs along the entire Mar Menor coast from San Pedro del Pinatar to Cabo de Palos, with Los Nietos halfway along the coast.

It is very much a family-run summer resort.
