Location :

Dénia is located on the east coast of Spain, between Valencia and Alicante. To get there by car, take the A7 motorway from Valencia or Alicante. It takes about an hour by car from both cities. Both Valencia and Alicante have international airports.

Among the many tourist resorts on the Costa Blanca, Dénia is one of the most attractive. It is not only the beautiful beaches for which the ’White Coast’ is famous, but also a beautiful historic center, an extraordinary artistic heritage, an active yacht port and a spectacular natural environment.

The landscape of Dénia is dominated by the imposing silhouette of the Montgó, a mountain 800 meters high, located a short distance from the coast. Together with the surrounding area, it forms the El Montgó Nature Reserve, where we can meet 650 different species of plants and rich fauna (eagles, peregrine falcons, owls, foxes, wild boars, females). The protected area offers many paths that are worth exploring by bike or on foot.

The city’s large and impressive port serves all routes between Dénia and the islands of the Balearic archipelago. It serves ferry connections throughout the year, and in the summer the number of passengers using the services is exceptionally high. For many tourists who spend their holidays in this city, the idea of a day trip to the amazing beaches of Ibiza, Mallorca or Formentera is simply perfect.

Dénia is the Spanish town closest to the archipelago: less than 100 km separates the resort from Ibiza! The port is located in the city center and offers many amenities for passengers, including shops, car rentals, cafes, markets and car parks.

There is also a smaller port in the city, Mollet d’Espanya, where smaller boats and private yachts moor.

Dénia’s beaches are a major tourist attraction in the region for many. The city has almost 15 km of coastline, divided into two parts: Las Rotas is characterized by rocky and less frequented coves, while Las Marinas are long, sandy and comfortable beaches.

Both offer plenty of fun activities: you can go scuba diving or snorkeling to explore the wonderful seabed of Las Rotas, and enjoy water sports in the Las Marinas area, including windsurfing, kite surfing, stand up paddle boarding and kayaking.

In 2015, Dénia was named a UNESCO Creative City for Gastronomy. Fantastic local cuisine consists of hard-to-find delicacies, fresh produce and excellent recipes!
