Pulpí, the first coastal town in Andalusia, located on the border between Murcia and Almería, is one of the most picturesque and idyllic landscapes in Spain and offers many different reasons to visit. The municipality, located in the north-eastern part of the province, has three clearly differentiated areas within its territory: the coastal area, the inland basin and the small chain of mountain ranges separating them.

Pulpí Geode:
In addition to its spectacular beaches and coves, there is a real natural gem here, which since its opening to the public in 2019 has become a tourist attraction: the Geode. Located in Mina Rica, in Pilar de Jaravía, it is a giant geode approximately eight metres long and two metres high. It is the second largest in the world after the Chihuahua Crystal Cave in Mexico and the largest of the geodes that can be visited.

There is much more to visit in Pulpí. The town of Pulpí is home to the Church of San Miguel, the second oldest building in the municipality, dating from 1801, and also the tallest, with a spectacular altar. Also noteworthy are the Benzal Picnic and Ethnographic Area and the Apartadero Viewpoint.
Also worth visiting are the Scenic Space with the Pintor Pedro Antonio Martínez Room, which houses a collection of paintings by the influential Pulpileño painter, and the Black Room, the largest of its kind in Europe, which houses a spectacular collection of 1,000 luminescent minerals.

Beaches:
Almería also boasts a catalogue of spectacular beaches and coves. The 13 beaches in Pulpí run along the coastline from north to south: Los Cocedores Beach, Las Palmeras Beach, La Carolina Beach, Invencible Cove, Costa Tranquila Cove, Cuartel Cove, Tía Antonia Cove, Rincón de los Nudos Cove, Mar Rabiosa Beach, Mar Serena Beach, Calypso Beach, La Entrevista Beach and Los Nardos Beach. Four of the five beaches located further south are Blue Flag beaches due to the quality of their services and their crystal-clear waters, which are excellent at all of them. These are Mar Serena, Mar Rabiosa, Calypso and Los Nardos.
